Counselor

Our counseling program provides individual counseling, small group counseling and classroom guidance to help students:

• Better understand themselves and others
• Build self-confidence and resilience
• Recognize and develop their strengths
• Experience success and celebrate achievements
• Navigate academic, personal and social concerns
• Adjust to school and home environments
• Develop decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Explore future career awareness
• Foster kindness, respect and responsibility
• Learn in a safe, caring and supportive environment

Each class participates in a 30-minute classroom guidance lesson twice each month. Lessons focus on age-appropriate topics such as friendship, communication, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, study skills, personal safety, career awareness, decision-making, diversity and acceptance.

Our Character Education program highlights a different character trait each month. Students and staff are encouraged to recognize one another for demonstrating positive character, helping build a culture of kindness, respect and responsibility throughout our school.
