History

Harrington Elementary commemorates Collin County native J.A. "Fred" Harrington (1874 -1957), grandson of pioneer Alfred Harrington.
Educated at Plano Institute and University of Texas, he was a farmer, member of the P.I.S.D. Board, 1917 -1921, and an organizer of the director of the First National Bank (1930 ).

Harrington Elementary School was built in 1978.
